City of Cornwall Holiday Closures 2025: What’s Open and What’s Not

As the holiday season approaches, several City of Cornwall services and facilities will be operating on adjusted schedules. Residents are encouraged to take note of closures and service changes affecting municipal offices, waste collection, recreation facilities, and transit between December 24 and early January to help plan accordingly.

City administration offices will close from 12:00 p.m. on December 24 until January 5. For all questions or concerns on Municipal Works related matters during this period, please call (613) 932-5354.

Garbage, Recycling & Organics

There will be no waste collection on December 25 or January 1. Collection on those days will be pushed back one day and for the remainder of the week.

Christmas Tree Collection will take place during the period of January 12 to January 16.  

Aquatic Centre, Civic Complex & Benson Centre

The Aquatic Centre, Civic Complex and Benson Centre will close at 12:00 p.m. on December 24 and December 31. It will be closed all day on December 25, 26 (excluding Benson Centre), and January 1.

Cornwall Transit

There will be no bus service on December 25, 26, and January 1. Buses will end early on December 24 and 31, with the last bus leaving Pitt and Second at 5:45 p.m. The Cornwall Transit office will be closed at 12:00 p.m. on December 24 and 31. It will also be closed all day on December 25, 26, and January 1.
