Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old woman from Moose Creek, ON, was arrested on Feb. 11, 2026, and charged with mischief under $5,000. On Feb. 11, 2026, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to a family dispute, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman damaged property at her father’s residence in the City of Cornwall. She was subsequently located by police. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 10, 2026.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 57-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 11, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Feb. 11, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged he attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 11, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Domestic assault
- Domestic assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Forcible confinement
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic
On Feb. 11, 2026, members of the CPS were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man punched his girlfriend, brandished an edged weapon and made a stabbing motion in her direction with the weapon. It is further alleged he confined the woman in the residence and threatened to kill her. The man was subsequently located by CPS officers. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 11, 2026, and charged with mischief – destroys or damages property. On Feb. 11, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man damaged his ex-girlfriend’s property. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released to appear in court on March 10, 2026.
ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 11, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 17, 2025, the youth assaulted a family member with a weapon and threatened to kill the individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. On Feb. 11, 2026, the youth was located by CPS officers, who were dealing with an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and he was subsequently released to appear in court at a later date.
