Cornwall Ontario – Local comedian and event promoter Mark Vincent can add radio co-host to his resume. This Tuesday (June 21st) Mark Vincent will be a special co-host of the Fresh Morning Show with Jimmy Kalaitzis on Fresh Radio 104.5 FM. The show runs from 6am to 9am in the morning.

“I’m rotating people in the guest chair. I think people might be sick of hearing me alone!” jested radio host Jimmy Kalaitzis.

Jimmy Kalaitzis got to know Mark Vincent through comedy.

“I think Mark is an excellent comedian. I’ve been following Mark’s comedy for a few years now. The show he did at Aultsville was mark at a whole new level! He hit a grand slam bases loaded home run that night. It was incredible!” praised Jmmy Kalaitzis.

Jimmy Kalaitzis is confident Mark Vincent can bring a lot to the microphone Tuesday morning.

“Mark brings a lot to the table. He’s very layered. He’s a naturally funny guy, whether it’s Mark poking fun at himself, or his thoughts as a dad and a family man, he’s funny on many levels!” Jimmy Kalaitzis reiterated.

The local comedian is looking forward to the opportunity to co-host the Fresh Morning show with Kalaitzis.

“I think any chance I get to entertain and be exposed to an audience who might not have attended a show is a great opportunity. I always want to make the best of any opportunity I get. I am good friends with Jimmy. Also who doesn’t like hanging out with their buddy even if it’s at a time when nobody should be awake,” Mark Vincent joked.

Mark Vincent is excited to share the airwaves with Jimmy Kalaitzis.

“Jimmy is a very entertaining guy and he’s very passionate about radio and comedy. The first time I met Jimmy was at a party and I think we spent the whole night talking about everything to do with both comedy, radio and our love for Howard Stern (haha). Jimmy is relatable and sincere and people relate to him,” explains Vincent.

According to Mark Vincent, comedy and radio go hand and hand.

“I think morning radio and comedy go hand and hand and that will never change. Who doesn’t want to get a laugh on the way to work? I think the world is too PC for a Howard Stern type to come out of a local radio today. There is a place for that style today with podcasts and satellite radio,” said Vincent.

Mark Vincent was recently on Internet radio. He was on a Father’s Day special along with local musicain and promoter Rodney Rivette on dunet.ca.

“I love what they are doing at dunet, and the passion they bring to their shows. Dunet and Fresh are two completely different shows. One was a long interview and the other a short segment. I’m excited any time I’m asked to be a guest on any show,” Mark Vincent disclosed.

Who knows what the future holds for Mark Vincent on the radio, but if Mark Vincent was a DJ he would play lots of 90s music.

“I think I’m still stuck in the 90’s a little bit, I would love to play music from that period. I’m a hard rock guy and would love to play indie bands and local bands on a main stream station,” Mark Vincent mused.

Mark Vincent has shared the stage as a comedian with Mike MacDonald, Kenny Robinson, Sebastien Bourgault, Wafik Nasrella, Matt Carter and many others. He has promoted and hosted spoken word events with former WWE wrestlers Mick Foley, Jake the Snake Roberts, and Hacksaw Jim Duggans. He has also promoted and hosted comedy shows featuring Darren Frost, Christina Walkinshaw, Jen Grant, Erica Sigurdson, Graham Kay, and Mark Walker.

Be sure to tune into 104.5 Fresh FM this Tuesday to hear Mark Vincent who is a special co-hosting on the Fresh Morning Show.
