Cornwall, Ontario – Get ready for an exciting Victoria Day weekend event as the Cornwall Community Museum opens its doors for a special season launch celebration. On Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21, the museum invites families from near and far to join in the fun at Lamoureux Park.

The festivities kick off outside the museum, where an Information Booth will provide visitors with fascinating insights into the city’s rich history and the surrounding area. Guests can test their knowledge and try their luck at “Guessing the Artifact” by correctly identifying historical objects on display. Brent Whitford, Senior Curator and Administrator at Cornwall Community Museum expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating, “We wish to open the museum to everyone, young families in particular, so that we may together learn about and celebrate the history of Cornwall and SDG.”

The Launch will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., ensuring ample time for attendees to immerse themselves in the wealth of knowledge and entertainment available at Lamoureux Park. Whether you’re a history aficionado, a curious visitor, or simply looking for a fun-filled weekend activity, this event promises to be a highlight of the Victoria Day celebrations.
