I was very pleased last week to host my first 3 day juicing cleanse workshop. A great group of participants showed me that this is for sure a need and many want to learn how to detoxify and give back to their bodies the natural way. This really makes me feel that what I offer is appreciated by the community. Individuals that take the time to invest in themselves and realize that they matter are ahead of the game for sure. Once the first step is made , you realize that it is not that scary and it actually tastes good, you are well on your way to living your best life ever!!!
When it is this cool, I always love to make a nice, hearty soup. A great way to make an amazing, satisfying soup is to place 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil in a cooking pot, stir fry all your favorite vegetables, add vegetable broth, bring this to a boil, uncovered for 10 minutes, reduce heat, cover and let it simmer for 1 hour. Once it has cooled off, place it in your food processor and you will have the best cream soup ever. This soup will already be broken down for you, gives your intestines a break and you will have all of the amazing nutrients in your body. So easy and delicious…
I am very fortunate to have great rhubarb in my garden. Rhubarb crisp is one of my favorite recipes, I just find that it is so delicious and quick to prepare. Place 4 cups of washed and chopped rhubarb in the bottom of an 8×8 dish. Add 2 cups of fresh, washed and diced strawberries to this. Drizzle 2 Tablespoons of maple syrup over this, you may also add dried raisins at this point (adds natural sweetness, rhubarb is tart). In another bowl mix together 2 cups rolled oats, 1/2 cup cane sugar, 2 Tablespoons organic flour. To this add 4-5 Tablespoons of cold butter (cut into large chunks), blend all of these ingredients with a fork or your hands. Spread on top of rhubarb mixture, place in a 350 oven for 45 min to 1 hour. This is delicious served warm on its own or with a spoonful of plain natural organic yogurt.
Hope you give these recipes a try, I promise you will not regret it….
In health….
