Liam Lascelle backstops Cornwall Colts to third straight win

Cornwall Ontario – First star Liam Lascelle made 26 saves to backstop the Colts to a 2-1 victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings at the Ed Lumley Arena.

Christopher Mammas (10) and Brennan Markell (16) provided the offence for the Colts who have won 3 in a row.

The Colts outshot the Lumber Kings 31-27 and improve to 31-13-2-3 for 67 points and 3rd overall in the CCHL standings.

The Wendy’s Restaurant Three Stars were First Star Liam Lascelle (COR), Second Star Brennan Markell (COR) and Third Star Brendan Browne (PEM).

The Colts are back in action this Sunday afternoon in Nepean against the Raiders. Game time at the Steve Yzerman Arena is 2pm.

The Colts return home next Thursday, February 9th to face off against the Brockville Braves on St. Lawrence College Alumni Night. Game time is 7:30pm at the Ed Lumley Arena.
