Manitoba, CA — 18 July 2025 — Americans struggling with obesity now have a more affordable way to access Zepbound (tirzepatide), a groundbreaking weight loss drug developed by Eli Lilly. DutyFreeMeds.com, a Manitoba-based prescription fulfillment service, is among the first to offer the medication to U.S. patients at prices well below typical U.S. retail costs.

“Unlike USA Zepbound, which comes as a single-dose pen, these are multi-dose pens. One pen = four Doses,” says Duty Free Meds spokesperson Hank Popeil. “The pens DO NOT come with needles. But needles can be purchased separately.”

Zepbound has drawn global attention for its unmatched results in clinical trials. In Eli Lilly’s SURMOUNT-1 Phase 3 study, patients lost an average of up to 22.5% of their body weight after 72 weeks of treatment — a level of effectiveness comparable to bariatric surgery. The drug works by activating two gut hormone receptors — GLP-1 and GIP — to suppress appetite, regulate insulin, and promote sustained weight loss.

“This is a major leap forward in the treatment of obesity,” said Dr. Robert Kushner, lead author of the SURMOUNT-1 trial and Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

While Zepbound’s U.S. retail price can exceed $1,000 per month without insurance, Duty Free Meds sources the medication from licensed international pharmacies, ensuring safety, quality, and transparent pricing without unnecessary markups. The company ships exclusively to U.S. patients.

“Too many patients are priced out of life-changing treatments,” said Dr. Yoni Freedhoff, Canadian obesity expert and Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa. “Improved accessibility through regulated international providers is a step in the right direction.”
