Chris Cloutier makes Cornwall Nationals debut on home ice this Saturday

Cornwall Ontario – The Nationals have their sights set on moving up the Federal Hockey League standings.

On Saturday, Cornwall will be back on home ice as they welcome the Watertown Wolves to the Ed Lumley Arena at the Civic Complex.

Chris Cloutier will make his Nationals debut on home ice.

Cloutier was a fan-favourite during his time with the LNAH’s Cornwall River Kings from 2013-15.

In 350 career games in the LNAH, Cloutier has amassed 2,528 penalty minutes. He appeared in 50 games for the River Kings, picking up 355 penalty minutes.

“We all know how much Chris loves to be out there in the community promoting the team and meeting the fans,” said team president Rodney Rivette. “Chris fits right in to the new direction of the team, on and off the ice,” said General manager Basem Awwad.

The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 for adults, $10 for student/seniors and $5 for children under the age of 12.

Cornwall (8-14-3-1) currently sits eight points out of a playoff position. The top four teams in the FHL make the post-season.

The Nationals have three games in hand on fourth-place Watertown however, and with three points awarded for a win in the FHL, there’s more than enough time to move up the standings.
