The United Way/Centraide of SD&G is a non-profit organization that is governed by a local Board of Directors, who, with United Way staff and volunteers help to raise funds that assist 13 agencies (14 programs). Our mission is to improve lives by working together with priorities focused on moving people from poverty to possibility, healthy people, strong communities and all that kids can be. After an intensive search, The United Way/Centraide of SD&G is pleased to announce the selection of Juliette Labossiere as its new Executive Director.
“I am incredibly proud to take on this leadership role within SD&G, and would like to thank the Board of Directors who have entrusted me with such an important role. For years I worked in the non-profit sector and can already see how many of the tasks I have done elsewhere will be easily transferred into this position. There is so much possibility in this community, and I am excited to be at the helm of an organization that can incite social change through collaborative community partnerships.” says Juliette Labossière.
“We are very pleased to have Juliette join our team and look forward to her leadership and guidance. Juliette brings years of experience in the not for profit sector to our organization. Raised in Cornwall, she is intimately aware of the needs that are present in our communities of SD&G,” says Andrew Donihee, Chair of the Board of Directors.
Juliette’s first official duty will be hosting the United Way/Centraide of SD&G spring fundraiser “Handbags for Heroes” Thursday April 25th, at the Cornwall Civic Complex. This is a great opportunity for our partnered agencies and the community to meet our new Executive Director.
