Tickets are $10.00 each and will be on sale until September 30th.

As there is no actual dinner, there is no limit on the number of tickets that can be sold and there are no geographic/travelling or scheduling considerations for buyers. The funds raised will be shared between the Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundations, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Ronald McDonald House Ottawa, and Candlelighters.

Childhood cancer is the number one disease killer of children in Canada and around the world. Although some success has been made in treatment protocols, 15-20% of children diagnosed will not survive.  It does not discriminate based on race, religion, creed, financial status, etc. Each year in Canada approximately 1,700 children are diagnosed. Approximately 65 children are diagnosed at CHEO each year. Of those who survive, 2/3 will develop side effects from either the disease or treatments received such as secondary cancers, sterility, growth problems, cognitive deficiencies, cardiac problems, etc.

This is the sixth year that Paint Cornwall Gold strives to raise awareness of Childhood Cancer and show support to our local children who have been diagnosed with cancer. Residents are encouraged to decorate their homes in gold to show their support of our children and their families.

CCOF, CHEO, RMHO and Candlelighters all help children with cancer diagnosis and their families during and after their treatments by way of financial support, housing, physical care, social activities, etc.

Tickets for the No-Dinner Dinner will be available for sale on the Optimist website until September 30th at www.optimistclubofcornwall.org and locations throughout the city. For more information, please visit the Optimist website or Paint Cornwall Gold Facebook page.
