Ribfest has come a long way since its humble beginning in 2012.  It is now Cornwall’s largest event of the year, and it is the main fundraiser for the local Optimist Club. Volunteers take over 6 months to plan the festival and all proceeds go to supporting youth in our community.  So, what’s in store for this 10th anniversary?

It all starts with the Ribfest Community Cookout

In anticipation of the main event, local restaurants will offer some serious BBQ.  This year will see the largest lineup of eateries participating in this one-of-a-kind contest. Optimists and Restaurant Owners have partnered up to give patrons a chance to win $1,000.00 simply for enjoying some of the amazing food they offer. Many will have unique items on their menu that will only be available from July 14 to 20th. So get out to support our local restaurants, and help the Optimist Club of Cornwall support youth!

Ribfest rolls in July 21st to July 24th

This year will see many changes to celebrate 10 years of Ribfest. Many of us wait all year just to get the food that we can only get at Ribfest: twisted potato, blooming onion, and those ribs!  Most of the 2019 vendors will be back, in addition to new ones. There will be many vendors selling everything from hair clips to pants to gear for your favorite sports team. For a complete list please see cornwallribfest.com.

Thursday July 21st – TBD

Friday July 22nd – Eagles will fly

Friday, food vendors will be open beginning at 11:00, entertainment begins at 1:00 with a return of Optimist Idol. Do you want to enter? Go to cornwallribfest.com and click on Optimist Idol to submit your video. Then, stay for  the ribs, a cold beer and this great entertainment lineup.

  • 4:30 Warhammer
  • 5:30 Jessica Sevier
  • 7:30 Solid Gold Revival
  • 9:30 Epic Eagles

Saturday July 23rd – Did you say Sass Jordan?

Saturday is the funnest day.  Be ready to get your fingers sticky from all the BBQ sauce and join us in the beer tent to listen to amazing bands, including:

  • 1:30 Fork In The Road
  • 3:00 Landmark
  • 4:15 Trip The Breaker
  • 5:30 Whiskey on Tap
  • 7:30 Sam Hill
  • Then, at 9:30, don’t miss Canada’s Queen of Rock, Sass Jordan! Visit www.sassjordan.com for bio.

Sunday July 24th – a little bit of country and folk

You’ve partied for days, now it’s time to take it easy with our Sunday lineup.

  • 12:00 Paolo Stante
  • 1:30 The County Lads
  • 3:30 Hadrian’s Wall
  • 5:30 The Chesterfields

The Optimist Club of Cornwall is very proud of this year’s lineup of entertainment, and we want to thank the TDF (Tourism Development Fund) for making bringing top entertainers such as Sass Jordan to Cornwall a possibility.

And don’t forget, the midway

All Canadian Entertainment (ACE) will return with a full midway including a new ride that will thrill everyone that dares to try it. Join us to celebrate 10 years of Ribfest and the return to a regular event. Have fun, indulge, and know that you are helping us to help the youth of our community.

We look forward to seeing you at our party.
