Women in Canada are experiencing gender equality at a very personal level. They have access to equal pay for equal work, they don’t face sexual harassment on the job or anywhere else, and they can make their own decisions without having to consult a male partner.

Regarding higher education, women tend to choose majors that are more likely to get them jobs. This means that they may miss out on opportunities that would lead to better employment, career advancement, and salary increases over time.

When it comes to looking for work in Canada, the significant important factor for most women is the pay. If this describes you, examine one of the following alternatives. The following are the top 3 highest-paying jobs for women in Canada.

3 Most interesting career options for Canadian women

Engineer

Electrical, chemical, mechanical, and physical structures are designed, modified, and repaired by engineers. Mechanical, chemical engineering, and electrical are their specialities. No matter whether you’re going to work as an electrical engineer or a biomedical one, you’ll get paid well. Earnings vary per engineering specialty, although median incomes are frequently in the six-figure range. Chemical engineers, for example, get a median yearly pay of $96,824. A woman working in engineering earns a median yearly salary of $71,864.

CEO

The activities of a corporation are planned, coordinated, and overseen by the chief executive. They work to guarantee that their businesses achieve their objectives. Chief executives operate in a range of businesses, both public and commercial. They often receive the highest income of any managerial job, but they also work extraordinarily long hours and thus are mainly responsible for their company’s success. The median yearly salary for top female executives is $106,652.

Physician

Patients are examined, medical disorders are diagnosed, drugs are prescribed, and physicians devise treatment programmes. Internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, and surgery are among the more than 100 specializations and subspecialties available to physicians. As per the BLS, i.e. Bureau of Labor Statistics, women physicians make a median yearly salary of $99,060.

The Bottom Line

Women continue to face barriers while finding jobs that match their qualifications and interests. To thrive, they need opportunities that allow them to develop the skills necessary to reach the next level of success.
