Board Chair Todd Lalonde Not Seeking Re-election

Kemptville, ON (Tuesday, August 23, 2022) – Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario Board Chair Todd Lalonde will not seek re-election as Catholic School Board Trustee for the City of Cornwall and Glengarry County in the upcoming municipal election. Lalonde has served as Trustee for 16 years with CDSBEO and has held the role of both Vice-Chair and Chair for 11 of those years. Currently, he is serving his sixth term as Board Chair. Chair Lalonde has also served as Region 10 Director for the Ontario Catholic School Trustees Association (OCSTA) Board of Directors for four consecutive terms from 2014 to 2022.

“I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of this board and make decisions in the best interest of our students. I am extremely grateful for the support that has been provided to me by my fellow colleagues and trustees throughout this amazing journey. It has been and honour and a privilege to serve the students in this leadership role,” Lalonde said. “I would like to thank my fellow trustees, our board directors, present and past, and the administrative team for their guidance over the years.”

Election Day in Ontario municipalities is Monday, October 24, 2022.

The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario operates 39 elementary and 11 secondary schools across eight counties. The CDSBEO offers excellence in Catholic education through provincial-leading programs to approximately 13,200 students.
