Cornwall, Ontario – Tia Lascelle, a former student-athlete of Ontario Hockey Academy, has made waves in NCAA DIII women’s hockey. Lascelle, who hails from Cornwall, Ontario, played a post-graduate season with OHA in 2022 before joining the Adrian College Bulldogs in Adrian, Michigan, this season.
In her debut season, Lascelle played in 28 games, scoring 9 goals and providing 16 assists for a total of 25 points with a +24 rating. Her outstanding performance earned her a spot on the All-Freshman for the NCHA All-League Awards. Moreover, she also won Rookie of the Year for the Adrian College Women’s Hockey Team.
The Adrian College Bulldogs Women’s hockey team had a remarkable season, winning 26 out of 30 games. The Bulldogs clinched the NCHA Conference Finals with a 4-1 victory over St. Norbert College. Unfortunately, their season came to an end in the first round of the NCAA Quarterfinals against Hamilton College, losing 2-0.
Despite the early exit from the tournament, Lascelle and her team had a fantastic season, and her individual performance was impressive. She has proven herself to be a valuable asset to the Adrian College Bulldogs and a promising talent in women’s hockey.
