Galop Canal Bluegrass Festival Set to Rock Iroquois

South Dundas, Ontario – Iroquois, Ontario, is getting ready to host the highly anticipated Galop Canal Bluegrass Festival from June 15 to June 17, 2023. Bluegrass enthusiasts from far and wide are gearing up for three days of foot-stomping music and unforgettable performances. With an impressive lineup of talented musicians, this year’s festival promises to be a memorable event for all attendees.

The Galop Canal Bluegrass Festival boasts an impressive roster of renowned bluegrass artists. Audie Blaylock & Readline, Spinney Brothers, Dusty Drifters, Bill White & White Pine, Woodsmoke, Third Harmony, and Shane Douthwright & The Virtuosos are playing at the festival. Each act brings a unique sound and style to the stage, ensuring a diverse and captivating musical experience.

The festival will kick off on Thursday, June 15, with performances starting at 3 pm. The Seaway District High School Band will set the tone for the evening, followed by an open mic session featuring the Tri-County Music Association. Bill White & White Pine and Dusty Drifters will take the stage, leading up to the much-anticipated performance by Shane Douthwright and The Virtuosos. Festival-goers can also enjoy jam sessions in the park throughout the day, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The music will continue on Friday, June 16, with another exciting lineup. Bill White & White Pine and Dusty Drifters will return to the stage, setting the tone for an incredible day of bluegrass. A supper break will allow festival attendees to refuel before the evening performances. The opening ceremonies, including a stirring rendition of the National Anthem by the Spinney Brothers, will mark the official start of the evening’s festivities. Shane Douthwright & The Virtuosos, Third Harmony, Spinney Brothers, and Audie Blaylock & Redline will take turns entertaining the crowd with their exceptional musical talents.

The festival will continue on Saturday, June 17, with a jam-packed schedule from morning until late evening. The day will begin with an open mic session featuring the Tri-County Music Association, followed by performances by Bill White & White Pine, and Woodsmoke. The Spinney Brothers, Dusty Drifters, and Shane Douthwright & The Virtuosos will then take turns captivating the audience. A chicken BBQ supper will provide a delicious break before the evening performances. Attendees can also participate in a workshop with Audie Blaylock & Redline. Woodsmoke, Spinney Brothers, Third Harmony, and Audie Blaylock & Redline will bring the festival to a close with their exceptional performances.

To ensure a seamless experience for all festival-goers, the organizers have set up a few guidelines for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Smoking is prohibited in the concert area, and wristbands must always be worn. ATVs, umbrellas, canopy chairs, and open fires are prohibited in the concert area. Tents will be available for shade, and generators can be used during designated hours. Pets must be leashed and kept out of the concert area, and amplified music is not permitted. Tickets for the Galop Canal Bluegrass Festival are now on sale. Weekend passes, including rough camping, are available for $100.00 in advance until June 1st. After that date, weekend passes can be purchased at the gate for $110.00. Day passes will also be available at the gate for Thursday ($25), Friday ($30), all-day Saturday ($45), and Saturday after 4 pm ($30). Camping is available at $10 per day for daily ticket holders.
