Welcome to this interview with Jody Archambault, president of COMBHL, where we explore the world of ball hockey. Get ready to learn about the essence of this sport as we chat with Jody, the league president.

Q: Can you provide a brief introduction to ball hockey and explain how it differs from other forms of hockey, such as ice hockey or field hockey? Ball hockey is a fast-paced, exciting sport that is played on foot with a ball and sticks. It is similar to ice hockey and field hockey, but with some key differences. Unlike ice hockey, ball hockey is played on a flat surface, usually a gym floor or outdoor court, and does not involve ice skates. Similarly, instead of a puck, players use a ball that is lighter and easier to handle than a puck. Another significant difference between ball hockey and field hockey is the number of players on the field. While field hockey games typically involve 11 players per team, ball hockey teams usually have only five players on the court at a time, including a goaltender. This smaller team size allows for a faster-paced game with more scoring opportunities. Overall, ball hockey offers a unique and exciting take on the classic game of hockey, with its own set of rules and strategies. Whether you are a seasoned hockey player or just looking for a fun and challenging new sport to try, ball hockey is definitely worth checking out.
