Five Questions with The Seeker
1 – What inspired you to start playing and making music?
“What inspired me to pursue music was growing up listening to bands and artists that I wanted to desperately emulate. Learning how to play the music of those I idolized led me to eventually write music of my very own.”
2 – Which skills have you gained that help you perform effectively as a musician?
“I was a fairly shy kid growing up, and wanting to perform music was out of my comfort zone. Not to mention I was god-awful when I started playing in front of an audience. I’ve grown in skill and confidence playing live with a band.”
3 – What’s your process for dealing with performance anxiety?
“As far as performance anxiety goes, I get the jitters, big time, all the way up until I sing the first note. After that, it all seems to go away.”
4 – Tell us about your bandmates and what it’s like working with them.
“My bandmates are all amazing musicians to work with. If I write a song, they help me make it the best it can be and contribute so much to the whole process. We’re great friends, and performing together’s an absolute thrill.”
5 – Tell us about an upcoming concert or tour.
“We are beyond excited to be headlining the Port Theatre on August 17th. It will be a very special evening and the highlight of our summer performances. We have a great show prepared for the audience that night, and we can’t wait to share it all with friends and family.”
